A homecoming show celebrating the history of queer culture in New York, from nightlife and the erotic arts to uncompromising activism. The exhibition will focus on the Foundation’s archive, presenting works by pioneering artists combined with contemporary and younger artists whose work and practice revolve around New York’s queer histories, as well as New York artists whose works will be in dialogue with Tom of Finland for the first time.

The exhibition space will be activated with an extensive program of talks, screenings, performances, and concerts, connecting generations of local figures, including LGBTQIA+ organizations and associations, who have shaped and borne witness to the ever-changing New York queer scene over the past decades.
