SWEATMOTHER “Arrest the Image”
Through photography, moving image and performance Sweatmother complicates the structures of masculinity, moving beyond the biological, reconstructing presentation and desire from alternative masculinities. Much like the T-masc phantom limb this work would be in flux and experimental, drawing on objects and forgotten archives. The work embarks on the archive of fantasy to record history from absence, the legacy of Leather and empower T-masc spectators to visualize their own nuanced history.
OPENING PROGRAM
Spanking booth with Kyle Holiday from 6:30p-7:30p. First come, first served.
Artist performance begins at 7:30p, featuring Sweatmother and Buffalo.
The film will have English subtitles and no sound.
Beer, wine and soft drinks will be served.
CHECKLIST
5% of every sale will go towards Cruise LA, a Leather Queer party and community space,
as an investment for the future Trans and Queer communities in LA.

The artist will be available on 29th October from 11a-4p for walk-throughs.
TOM HOUSE IS ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET IN ECHO PARK SO WE STRONGY ENCOURGE RIDE-SHARE OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
There is no wheelchair accessible toilet at TOM House. Also, to access the House, there are four stairs.
Meet Artist-in-Residence Sweatmother
Sweatmother is an artist and filmmaker based in London. His moving image work blends performance, self-recorded documentation, and archival materials to explore and make visible Queer lived experiences. Experimental techniques are often incorporated throughout his work such as an image making technique using a video synthesizer.
