A safe, warm haven

In relation to Tom of Finland Foundation’s 40th anniversary, Oat Montien has created a book inspired by his time as an Artist-in-Residence at TOM House. The title Solarium came from the name of the room in which he stayed.
“This residency has been a safe warm haven for the toughest time of my life. Between the lines of these pages are my transformation: how I came to love my own skin through finding my tribe in the Leather community, and unapologetically living as my true Queer self. I believe in art as radical transparency and this book is my heart on the pages.”
“TOM House has been a safe environment for connection, intimacy,
and camaraderie with my fellow Gay Asians here in LA.”
