Join Tom of Finland Foundation, Stephan Ferris, and Danielle the Bootblack for Black & Blue, an afternoon for leather lovers.

Beginning at 2p, Danielle will offer a demonstration of bootblacking for those curious about the practice or looking to learn a new skill. Afterwards, Stephan Ferris, also known as Blue Bailey, will read a selection from his new memoir Blue Movie (now in its third reprinting). Copies will be available for purchase to be signed by the author.

Bootblacking is the act of polishing and caring for someone’s leather boots and gear. The bootblack carries a kit with them to shine the leather.

Described as “[pulling] no punches as it shocks and enlightens” by Kirkus Reviews, Blue Movie is the debut memoir from Stephan Ferris. Ferris, who performed under the pseudonym Blue Bailey, details his experiences as an adult film actor and struggles with substance abuse.
