Tom of Finland Foundation Artist-in-Residence Michael Espinoza is teaming up with the Radical Sewing Club to offer a workshop for mending your jockstraps, thongs, lingerie, athletic gear, bras, socks & underwear. The purpose of this collaboration is to empower our community to learn the basic skills to save money and divert clothing from landfills.

Michael and RSC’s Scout will briefly introduce their fiber art practices: Michael uses photography & fiber media to explore queer intimacy; Scout uses the humble act of mending to propose a radical alternative to capitalism, offering low cost education throughout Los Angeles. Both artists desire to show care for queer and trans communities through their practices.

• No skills or materials needed!
• Bring any piece of underwear, lingerie, socks or intimate gear in need of a refresh.
• If you don’t have anything in need of repair, we have some samples you can work on.
