Mirrors is about reflections in both the literal and symbolic sense. The exhibition will showcase small-scale acrylic ink and felt tip marker portraits exploring body image, the male figure and diverse sexual expression. Tristor has also explored large-scale works in acrylic on paper and canvas over his Tom of Finland Foundation Residency.

The show will also mark the launch of Tristor Blue’s first book Bathroom Selfies Vol.1. In his ongoing illustrative series, Tristor interprets the mirror selfies that his audience sends to him through social media, resulting in his drawings. Bathroom Selfies Vol.1 will contain the first 72 images in this series.

Working with a live model is like looking through a two-way mirror. It’s a collaborative space where both the artists and the model can express themselves and their sexual energy. They can also turn the gaze inwards to reflect on their own experience in the moment.
