Gay stamps crash Itella’s online store

Eager buyers of Tom of Finland stamps have crashed the webstore of Itella (the Finnish postal service).

Itella decided, exceptionally, to put the signs pre-sale online store on Wednesday. When the information spread to the world, the online store’s website overloaded beyond recognition, “We acquire additional resources and strive to get the pages to work again soon”, it was reported Itella communications. Itella does not remember any prior interest in stamps so great. Tom of Finland pre-sales were expected a great deal. Although the release date was set for 8 September, Itella had to put them in pre-sale now. “We have not encountered anything like this before. We were flooded with direct contacts: via the Web, telephone exchanges, in every possible way”, says Itella Development Markku Penttinen .
