Introducing the newest members of ToFF’s Board of Directors
5th June 2025, 10:57 amWe are pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members: Brooke Wise, Nolan Feng, and Terence McFarland. These additions bring a wide range of expertise in curation, cultural advocacy, strategic leadership, and creative entrepreneurship to the Foundation’s mission of extending Tom of Finland’s legacy to foster new generations of LGBTQ+ artists.
In addition to these new appointments within the past year, directors David Aldea (Executive Committee and Treasurer) and Robert Knox Hayes both joined the board further strengthening ToFF’s leadership team.

Brooke Wise
BROOKE WISE is a New York based independent curator with over a decade of experience organizing international exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects across contemporary art, film, performance, and advocacy. She is the founder of Aloha from Hell, a film festival supporting reproductive rights via Planned Parenthood, and produced The Fine Art Quarantine Coloring Book, benefiting multiple nonprofit organizations. Wise also worked at major art-tech platform Artsy, helping spearhead its auctions team to pair top tier artists with 501(c)(3) organizations of their choosing. She will support the Foundation’s fundraising, partnerships, and community initiatives.

David Aldea
DAVID ALDEA brings decades of private and nonprofit sector experience to strategy, licensing and operations. A longtime supporter of ToFF, Aldea co-produced a 2024 Fire Island benefit and is a collector of Tom of Finland. Ever the entrepreneur, Aldea has built up an international rental property portfolio and helped manage art licensing for a number of artists including Hunt Slonem. Aldea is a graduate of the Aspen Institute Artist-Endowed Foundations Initiative training program.

Nolan Feng
NOLAN FENG is a Queer technologist, entrepreneur, and cultural strategist. He aims to deepen the Foundation’s academic and institutional partnerships to position Tom’s work within global fine art and scholarly discourses. Feng is co-founder of Plaiir, a platform for adult content creators, and previously served as Chair of Pride@DowJones. He was a Forbes 30 Under 30 China nominee and brings expertise in digital transformation and cultural innovation.

Terence McFarland
TERENCE McFARLAND is a seasoned nonprofit leader and creative strategist. He has served as CEO of LA Stage Alliance and associate executive director of The Soraya at Cal State Northridge. He is currently director of strategy at Distinc_ and a life coach. McFarland joined the board to support LGBTQIA+ artists and champion joy, liberation and representation through ToFF’s programs.
Chair of the Board R. Ayité Okyne remarked, “We are thrilled to welcome these visionary individuals, whose diverse talents and shared passion will help guide our Foundation into its next chapter — one rooted in boldness, inclusion, and unwavering artistic freedom.”
