New Marcel Alcalá show at Night Gallery

Tonight 25th March, Marcel Alcalá debuts a new exhibition of oil paintings at Night Gallery. Entitled The Performance of Being, Alcalá depicts subjects and settings as varied as a screenwriter at a crossroads between wilderness and Jumbo’s Clown Room, childhood memories of their grandmother’s cactus, and the artist’s own death (or at least another state of being).

Join Marcel Alcalá, Anthony Olubunmi Akinbola, Bambou Gili, and Libby Rosen for a celebration of their openings tonight at both Night Gallery locations from 5-8p. The Performance of Being runs through 29th April.
