Artist Peter J. Silvia was a prime moving force behind taking the Tom of Finland Art Fair to New York in 2001. We were lucky to interview him in 2005 for our quarterly publication. Reading through it again, is all the more reason for us to love him, and to miss him.
“I said goodbye to my Pete yesterday evening. He lost the battle with his liver. We knew this would be a reality at some point but one is never prepared. Today I am Peteless. I will miss that big-hearted, card-carrying curmudgeon. I just wanted to put this out there to say thank you to so many friends and family who have been wonderfully supportive throughout. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so much love.” -Tammey Stubbs, 13 March 2020
