Today! Tom of Finland Art & Culture Festival 2023
14th May 2023, 2:28 pm

The imposing former prison building on Söhtstraße was built in 1906. Today The Knast is the home of prideART
Today at 7 p.m. it starts at the Prinzknecht in Fuggerstraße 33. Starting tomorrow, the queer studio community prideART, together with Tom of Finland Foundation in Berlin, will be devoting three days to the art inspired by Tom of Finland, his legacy, his influence on the current enfants terribles of the art world.
Tom of Finland’s work is now recognized as fine art; it is also commemorated on a postage stamp, illustrated books (e.g. from TASCHEN in Cologne ), a movie, and in countless other ways. For example with Queer festivals like this one – and with the art of Søren Zschocke, among others.
