“I knew the art of Tom of Finland before I knew who he was and immediately became obsessed with his work. As a young teenager, I wasn’t fully aware of my sexuality but would often draw men in different sexual situations often involving bondage and men being handcuffed by police.

When I started learning more about Tom, I related a lot to him and his work; it felt like I knew him in some way and have created similar works before I even knew it existed.”
