Volunteer profile: Daphne von Rey

Today we honor Tom of Finland Foundation volunteer and former Artist-in-Residence Daphne von Rey aka DJ Ethical​Drvgs.

Daphne has supported the Foundation for years. Her performances have delighted audiences at a variety of our events. Whether she’s spinning at a pool-side drawing session, providing a pole dancing demonstration, or DJing one of our many Artist-in-Residence exhibitions, Daphne has shown her love for the Foundation in many ways.

“The Foundation means a lot to me especially as that’s where I began my transition and journey as both a performance and visual artist. Especially with the hypermasculinity that the art represents, I was pleasantly surprised at the nurturing that happened to move forward in art again. And it will forever mean so much as to how and why the music room closet is set up with the lights.” – Daphne von Rey
