Volunteer profile: Harrison

Since its inception in 1984, Tom of Finland Foundation has always been a membership-focused and volunteer-driven organization. Today we highlight our volunteer Harrison, who had some words to share about why he supports the Foundation.

“At TOM House, we are free to be who we’ve always wanted to be: proud outsiders of outsiders. I am honored to volunteer at an organization that so fearlessly explores the line between good and bad taste, the camp and the common, and the audacious and the sentimental. As a writer, my time assisting in the library has been invaluable as I seek inspiration from the Queer voices that came before me and honor them by preserving their vision in the house’s extensive archive. Tom’s world is one of unabashed Queer joy and universal belonging, which is reflected in the artists, creatives, and gracious team that continue to push boundaries and usher in a new era of hopefulness, empathy, and unrestrained pleasure.” – Harrison
