Transmission marks the eighteenth installment in our Instinct series, offering a profound exploration of LGBTIQ+ identity, history, and heritage through the lenses of intergenerational artists. This exhibition utilizes a variety of artistic mediums, including photography, video, performance, and painting, to foster a dialogue that bridges generations.

Intergenerational Connection

Throughout history, the act of transmission between generation has been a cornerstone of the LGBTIQ+ community, serving as a means of conveying knowledge, resilience, and resistance. This exhibition delves into how these elements have shaped identities, political movements, and cultural expressions. From grassroots activism to intimate mentorship, transmission has transformed silence into empowerment and isolation into solidarity.

With works by Rick Burger, Jörg Dedering, Fausto, Toni Karat, Greif Lazic, Marie-Charlotte Nouza, Spyros Rennt, Lars Theuerkauff, Hans Zeeldieb.
