Vitam Picturarum: La Vida En Fotos Mexico City edition at Manos Amigues. Part of the fifth iteration of Queer Biennial, titled In the Life, where artists/creatives are asked to explore their sensibilities of the quotidian — framing a snippet into everyday Queer people/artists, from and through our lens; a trenchant peek of the expansive and diversity of Queer citizens of the world.

This germ of an idea is proposed in broad terms. Leaving artists to explore it in the abstract: launches on the personal points that are universal, expounding on existential issues, tribalism, creativity, love, joy, and vice versa.

Manos Amigues currently serves 4,000 hot meals each month, every Monday-Friday, to people in need in Mexico City. Clients include homeless, elderly, disabled and migrant populations. The programming is run primarily by LGBTQ+ identified people in order to provide a safe space for community, however our doors are open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The Queer Biennial is the first international survey of Queer Art and Culture. Formed in 2012 with a mandate to exhibit and champion a more equitable representation of ever-expanding LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and Queer Diasporas. Presenting a wide range of disciplines, including art installation, performances, and film, with partnerships with fellow artists, curators, and cultural institutions to present full-fleshed, alternative experiential, and uncensored presentations. Anchored in Los Angeles with satellites in Europe and Latin America.
