On this 32nd anniversary of the passing of Tom of Finland, we reflect on the legacy of the man, his artwork, and the mark he left on this world.

2023 saw the largest survey of Tom of Finland’s work ever mounted. A rousing success, TOM OF FINLAND Bold Journey at the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art saw nearly 180,000 visitors during its six month run. This year also saw Tom of Finland Art & Culture Festivals in London, Berlin, and Los Angeles; an annual tradition, this is the first year that three Festivals were produced.

As we begin to wind down 2023, we look forward to what’s next for the Foundation: our 40th anniversary. We think Tom would be proud of all that has been accomplished.
