Meet Konstantinos Menelaou, artist-in-residence
9th February 2023, 3:40 pm
“I am Konstantinos Menelaou from Greece. I am a curious filmmaker and curator. Living, studying and working in London for 15 years shaped the way I feel, think and work. When London became impossible for organic creativity I moved to Athens, Greece.
“I love Super-8 film; most of my films are experiments in Super-8.
“In 2013 I launched The Queer Archive, a Queer arts platform collaborating with international artists. Each year we produce a 10-day arts festival in the centre of Athens, and throughout the year we do our best to disturb the heteronormative peace in the city.
“In 2018 I completed my first feature film He Loves Me shot on a beach in Greece. Making films and discovering the work of fellow artists is what makes me happy.” – Konstantinos Menelaou
