Out, loud and proud at Kiasma this month

As we kick off Pride Month, Tom of Finland Foundation highlights some events at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in Helsinki worth attending. As part of their TOM OF FINLAND Bold Journey programming, Kiasma presents “Queer and Art Museums” discussion and Queer Art Superstar Ball.
On Tuesday 6th June beginning at 5p, the Museum will host a panel discussion on the topic of “Queer and Art Museums”. This Finnish language discussion is aimed at professionals in the art and culture field, but it is open to anyone interested.
On Saturday 17th June, the Kiasma’s 1st floor lobby becomes the stage as the Queer Art Superstar Ball takes place. Produced by Finnish Ballroom icons Amanda 007, Ofimja Gorgeous Gucci & Venla Ninja, the Ball is open to anyone interested in participating or just watching (with ticket and signup, see below).
Also, there will be guided museum tours on 30th June and 1st July.
Are you looking for accessories or a sign for Saturday’s Pride parade? Make them yourselves at a free workshop on the 30th in the lobby from 2-7p where you can prepare materials for the Helsinki Pride Parade on 1st July.
